How Can Language Coaches Navigate You to Success?

A navigator is a very good analogy helping to explain who language coaches are.

Imagine you are driving with the help of a navigator, be it Google Maps, Waze or whatever other software.

Can you turn left instead of right because you feel so at the moment? Of course. The navigator will not judge you but will build another route from the point you find yourself at.

Can you stop by a nice little café you saw while driving past? Sure! More than that, you should do it! This is the beauty of travel, the right way to truly enjoy the process, find the real motivation, and form a closer bond with the journey you are on.

But at the same time, when you do not experience any urges or sudden wants, you know where to turn at every given moment, you know when you are supposed to arrive at your destination, you know if you are to go through the turmoil of a traffic jam, and you know if you stand a chance of being stopped by the police. That is, you ARE IN THE KNOW where, what, how, when, etc. Sounds like control of the situation and support on your way, Though the best part is that no matter how engaging your journey might be, your navigator KEEPS YOU ON TRACK to your desired destination. You took a left turn instead of a right one, which would have saved 50 minutes for you. Ok, as long as you enjoy the trip and take a couple of right turns on your way, you are sure to get to your point B. In case the new route cannot lead you to your point B, it’s high time for a U-turn :) And this is the job of your navigator to tell you that this way you’ll never reach your destination, it’s time to either turn 180 degrees or change the destination.

All this stuff is exactly what language coaches are busy with :)

Are you on the right track? Do you need a navigator?
